THE DISCIPLE charts the coming of age story of a Dutch Moroccan fanboy, Tarik Azzougarh, as he works for over a decade to meet and befriend his heroes, the genre defining hop-hop group, The Wu Tang Clan headed by the iconic and spiritual leader, The RZA.
After joining their movement he ultimately architects one of their most talked about and controversial albums, “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin’, with a radical concept that continues to ricochet around the music industry to this day. THE DISCIPLE is a twisting tale of boyhood dreams, relentless determination and the downfall of flying too close to the sun.
